Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation
Eileen received her training as a Counsellor from Trinity College Dublin, and holds a Master’s degree in Supervision since 2011. Over the last 20 years, Eileen has worked in voluntary, private, and educational sectors as a Psychotherapist, Supervisor, Group Facilitator and Trainer. Eileen is committed to her own personal and professional development and previously spent two years studying Psychosynthesis in Eckard House, Dublin. Eileen is an accredited Supervisor and Psychotherapist with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and her work conforms to the parameters of the IACP code of Ethics.Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach
Eileen’s approach to counselling and psychotherapy is humanistic and integrative. She believes that each person has the potential to live their lives in peace and harmony when they are given the opportunity to explore their issues in a safe and non-judgemental space. She believes that when we can unfold our story and the parts of ourselves that block us from living our lives in a meaningful way, great understanding and transformation can take place. She believes within this space we can learn about our thought processes, behaviours, our triggers, the stories we tell ourselves and how to practice compassion for ourselves, to enable us to grow and change.Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest
Eileen’s theoretical background is also humanistic and integrative. With over 20 years of experience, she has worked as a Psychotherapist with people from all walks of life, with many issues and problems. She taught for 8 years on the National University of Ireland Maynooth, ex-mural counselling skills course. She was Co-founder of a suicide prevention organisation. She co-created and delivered, a wellness programme that successfully reached 1000’s of people across Ireland. Eileen has also worked as a therapist in a Rehabilitation Centre for Addictions for 5 years. The main focus of Eileen’s psychotherapy work has been in Addiction, Bereavement, Anxiety, Depression and Trauma. Eileen has over 10 years’ experience working as a Supervisor. Her style of working as a Supervisor is collaborative, invitational, experiential and creative. She embraces her craft with great authenticity, passion and commitment. For the last 8 years, she has held the role of group supervisor for students studying their MA in Psychotherapy and BA in Psychotherapy, at an accredited Dublin University. Eileen works in private practice in Wexford, and since March of 2020 has begun working online as a Psychotherapist and Supervisor.Eileen's fees are €70 for an individual Psychotherapy, €80 for individual Supervision and €50 per supervisee for Group Supervision ( Four supervisees - for two hours)
