Naomi’s Fee is €85 per session

Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation

Trained at the University of Cambridge, Naomi Garret Fitzpatrick, holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapeutic Counselling (UPCA/ UKCP accredited).  She also holds a Master’s in Education (MEd) from the University of Leeds, where the focus of her study examined uses of Trauma Informed Interventions with children who had experienced profound Loss and Complex Bereavement. Naomi works with clients of all age groups, including adults, adolescents, and children. She has additional Post Graduate training (QUB) in: Child Development; Early Years Play-based Learning and Interventions; SEN (Special Educational Needs) - Neuro Diversity and ASD. As endorsed by UPCA/UKCP, Naomi undertakes regular supervision. Note - Naomi trained in the UK and is a fully accredited clinical member of two UK governing bodies -  Universities Psychotherapy & Counselling Association (UPCA) and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) which provide Naomi membership to the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Clients are advised to check with their Irish Health Insurance providers, prior to commencing therapy with Naomi, to clarify if their fees will be considered for re-imbursement.

Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Naomi’s approach is informed by Integrative and Attachment based theory and interventions. She has experience both as a Clinician and Trainer, working in Educational and Mental Health sectors for public, private and charity bodies. Supporting this work is Naomi’s long-serving experience in Intervention, Advisory and Educational roles in both private and public bodies in Ireland, Northern Ireland, the UK and Europe (Italy).

Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest

Much of Naomi’s client practice centres around Anxiety presentations; Attachment Issues and, therein, creating supportive care pathways for a variety of conditions including pre and post diagnoses. Naomi has extensive experience working with neurodiversity including but not limited to; ASD; ADHD; ADD; ODD; PDA; OCD and additional co-morbidities. Across her practice, Naomi has experience of working with issues arising from: Anxiety, Anger Management, Bullying, Bereavement / Complex Bereavement (Childhood Bereavement), Dis-ordered Eating, Identity, Life Transitions, OCD, PTSD, Relational and Developmental Trauma, Social, Emotional and Communication Difficulties, Separation Anxiety, Separating & Post-Separation Families (Rupture and Restructure), Self Esteem and Self Harm, Trans-generational Trauma.
