Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation
Billie-Jean completed a Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Studies (2017) and went on from there to do a Masters in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (Clinical) (2017-2021) and a Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling (2021).
She continues to further her training with a variety of professional development workshops and training seminars, and is currently completing a Masters in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy.
Billie-Jean is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and adheres to their strict code of ethics and practice.
Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach
Billie-Jean works from a humanistic, psychodynamic, and integrative perspective drawing on a range of theories and creative mediums to meet the unique and individual needs of each client.
Billie-Jean believes the therapeutic relationship is paramount for healing and therefore aims to provide a collaborative, supportive and compassionate space to her clients.
Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest
Billie-Jean began her training in psychotherapy in 2017 and has been working with clients since 2019. She engages both in Face to Face and Online sessions working with adults and adolescents.
She has worked with a variety of issues such as anxiety, loss, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, managing strong and negative emotions, managing self-harming behaviours and suicidal thoughts, trauma, physical or emotional abuse or neglect.
Billie-Jean is passionate about helping people to better understand themselves, change unproductive behavioural and emotional patterns, improve their relationships, implement healthy boundaries, and find their own authentic voice.
