Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation
Brian has completed four years training with The Tivoli Institute, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin and graduated in 2022 with an MA in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (Clinical). He is a pre-accredited member of The Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, and abides by the code of ethics laid down by IAHIP.
Brian is committed to ongoing training and continuous education in his personal and professional development by attending various workshops and training seminars.
Brian is also a Social Care Worker who has worked for many years with people with differing abilities. This work has helped shaped Brian’s approach, where he meets each person as the individual they are and works relationally to help them in areas they may feel stuck.
Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach
Brian’s approach is empathetic and client-centred. Brian practices Psychodynamic Therapy, which is an Integrative and Humanistic approach and he has also developed an interest in Psychosynthesis and Cognitive Behavioural approaches. Brian believes in the power of the unique relationship between the therapist and client in bringing about lasting change.
Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest
Brian began his training in psychotherapy in 2017 and has been working with clients over 18 years of age, since 2019. He engages both in Face to Face and Online sessions. His special areas of interest include (but limited to), anxiety, depression, relationship problems, addictions and general life stresses.
