Grainne holds a BA degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from DBS.

Grainne is a fully accredited member of Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) (M13615) and abides by the code of ethics set down her professional body (IACP). She is committed to continue professional and personal growth. She attends regular supervision as well as ongoing training and workshops.

Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Grainne uses an integrated approach to Counselling and Psychotherapy, utilising different therapeutic models including Person Centered, Humanistic, Psychodynamic therapy and CBT. Grainne believes that the relationship between the therapist and the client is key to the therapeutic process, with this relationship built on trust, respect and collaboration. She offers a safe, supportive, non-judgemental space for the client to explore and work through what is happening in their life.

Counselling experience and areas of interest

Over many years Grainne has worked in the corporate sector and brings a huge amount of life experience to her practice.

Grainne has worked with a diverse group of clients in her work as a Psychotherapist. Grainne has worked for many years with a community-based counselling service and also provided Psychotherapy to young adults through the university counselling service.

Grainne has a particular interest in supporting clients with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, sexuality issues, trauma, existential concerns and grief.

Gráinne’s fee is €80 per session
